Meagan & Jeremy

Wow, I've been absolutely horrible at posting for the last several weeks. Just noticed that I only made 4 posts in September. There is so much that has happened, recipes I've tried, things I've done with the kids, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to catch up at this point. So maybe I'll just skip over the last couple of months and start over? Not sure, lol.

One thing that does stick out over the last several weeks is my awesome weekend with Meagan, Jeremy & all their wonderful friends & family (now which some are my friends :) ) I drove over to Michigan on Tuesday night and spent the night at Amanda's house. Wednesday I went to lunch with Jon and dinner with Amanda & Jarrod then met up with Meagan & Lauren to go out for her bachlorette party. We went to a karaoke bar and had an absolute blast, then went over to a friends house and played beer pong and got back to Meagan's mom's house at 4 a.m. Thursday was nails and rehearsal then Friday was the wedding. Got our hair done, took pictures then partied the night away! The wedding was beautiful they did a great job with it. Afterwards we even got to take a limo into GR and had a blast going to a few different places. I was so nervous about going to a wedding without a date but it was by far the most fun I've ever had a wedding. It was so much fun I really think they should do this for their anniversary every year (hint hint guys, lol).

Visiting Michigan

So again today when I dropped Connor off at school he cried and cried and eventually Ms. Amber just had to drag him away with him still crying. It's so heartbreaking. I don't know if it's just a phase or if something really is going on with him, it's so hard to tell with a 4 year old. If this doesn't stop I'm not sure how the heck we'll survive with full day kindergarten next year...I'm dreading even thinking about it, which reminds me I have to call and set up our kindergarten registration/tour.

Last Friday we left for Michigan and come home Monday night. It was a short trip but super fun as always. Friday night when we got in we just got to hang out with Amanda, Mike, and Jarrod and eat some yummy homemade pizza. Saturday was all about dress shopping, and Saturday night Amanda, Connor, Savannah & I drove to visiting Doug & Wanda, and Esther. Sunday I got to visit my favorite church, Crosspointe Community where all 4 of the Barnhard sisters sang during offering. The rest of the afternoon was pretty lazy, then for dinner we drove and met up with Jon & Kayla at Cassabaras (sp) which was super yummy! The weekend went by way to quickly and the next thing we knew it was Monday morning, we got the van all loaded up, stopped by Georgetown Cemetery and then had a quick visit with Sara and Gracie. I can't wait until September to visit with a bunch of them again!

Michigan International Speedway

I can't believe summer is coming to an end. I start school next week, and we're 2 weeks away from being in September already, CRAZY!!!! Connor finished up his swimming lessons on Tuesday, he did not pass. Not that big of a deal, we didn't expect him to anyways. It was preschool 1, which is 3-5 year olds and he just turned 3. So he'll be taking it again next summer.

This past weekend we were in Michigan for our 5th and final trip of the year!! It was super hot all weekend, but we did stay at a new campground this year so we got to use the a/c in the camper, which was SUPER NICE!! Friday John, Scott & me went over to the track for the time trials and bought some souvenirs. Saturday we went swimming which felt really good & just kind of hung out. Sunday was the race! I have never been to a hotter race, it was in the mid 80's and we sit on bleachers, so you know we got some sun!!! I had to go down to the bathrooms a couple of times to try and cool off with a wet paper towel, but overall I think I did pretty good with the heat. After the race we took our dinner to the beach and went swimming again. Monday was the drive home, after all the heat & fresh air I pretty much slept the entire way home! It was nice to get home and see Connor, but the weekend went by way to fast!

Michigan

I can't believe it's already the middle of August. Can you? Seems crazy!! This summer has just flown by with everything that we have going on!!! After tonight Connor only has one more swimming lesson, and then he's done for the summer. School starts back up for me in less than 2 weeks! I'm only taking 2 classes this semester. The first 1/2 of the semester I'm taking Managing for Quality which is a 3 credit class, and the second 1/2 I will be taking Access Advanced which is only a 1 credit class.

Tomorrow morning we head for Michigan. Our 5Th & final trip of the year. We'll be leaving from John & Carol's super early in the morning and it's an 8+ hour drive to get to our campsite. It'll be a long drive, but it should be fun! Connor will be staying at Scott's parents house for the weekend, so hopefully he's not to crabby for them. After a huge search for someone to watch Cookie this weekend, I think we finally have come to a conclusion. THANKFULLY!!! How stressful! I'm a little ticked from a couple of individuals who said they couldn't watch him, but I wont go into that vent here. Mike & Amanda!!

So it's been awhile since I've posted, so I'll probably have a couple of back to back posts. It's been a little over a week since we've made trip #4 of the year to Michigan!

My BFF of over 12 years got married to her wonderful husband on July 31st! We drove over on Thursday the 29th and stayed until Sunday, August 1st . Thursday night me & Amanda went over to her mom's house so she could shorten my straps on my dress, while Scott went with Mike to go pick up his tux. Friday we ran around with Amanda , first helping decorate the reception hall, and then doing some errands and went to get her nails done. Friday night was the rehearsal, it seemed to take awhile, but everything went pretty well. Afterwords we drove to visit my friend Meagan who just happened to be in town as well on the same weekend! Saturday was the big day!! Got up early, went and got my hair done, went back to the hotel to rest for about 45 minutes, and then it was off to the wedding! You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for an outside wedding! The wedding was beautiful and then it was time for the reception!! Had some great food, danced with some great people, checked out of there by about 11:15, cause I was SO tired. Then Sunday night it was time to drive home!
