Billy & Candie's Wedding

Drama, drama, drama. Wow! Wont go into any details but my phone has been blowing up since yesterday at 7 a.m. I'm so glad we have unlimited texting now. I've only had the new phone for like 2.5 weeks and I've already sent over 2k text's. I know, it seems crazy, but someone told me their kid sends about 15k a month, so it doesn't seem as bad, lol.

So 2 weekends ago Billy & Candie got married! It's so nice to see people getting married who you know are each others soul mates. They are just so incredibly happy and it shows. Their wedding and reception were very nice (minus one very rude server). They had a photo booth, just like her sister, and I wish we would have thought of that. It's such a cute idea! We ended up giving them some awesome pampered chef mixing bowls (they love pampered chef from what I've heard) so I hope they love them! I wish them all the luck in the world and hope their honeymoon is awesome (they delayed it for a couple of weeks).

A 27th Birthday

So it's back to work today, so gotta try and go back to the "normal" schedule. So far so good, I guess. At least it's a short work week this week. Only 3 days because we're going to Michigan this weekend, yay! I can't wait to see Meagan & Amanda, and hopefully a few others as well!

So on the 28th it was Andy's Birthday! We celebrated by going to My Buddies, which I've never been there, but it was pretty good, I would go back again. For his birthday I got him the Medium Bar Pan from Pampered Chef. I love my stoneware and wanted to show it some love so I decided to give it as a gift! I hope he loves it as much as I do. I hope he had a great birthday and here's to many many more!

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

So Savannah is taking an early nap today, which is good I guess. I can get my blog post taken care of right away and then start working on my homework. Just under 2 more chapters to read for my Employment Law class, then I have to take the test tomorrow night. I believe I just need to get a 92% or higher to get an A in the class, so keeping my fingers crossed that happens! I NEED to get an A in order to have a chance to graduate with honors!

So Sunday Connor & I decided to make some cookies. I had extra Hersey kisses laying around so I figured I'd make Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies, because who doesn't love peanut butter? (If you don't know by now I LOVE peanut butter!). I followed the recipe on allrecipes.com exactly as stated, except I tripled everything. It ended up making 5 dozen cookies! Yum! Connor's job was to unwrap all the Hersey Kisses (which to me would suck, but he loved doing it). It did say to cook them for 10 minutes, however it took mine about 15 minutes using the Pampered Chef Large Bar Pan (LOVE! If you do not have this pan, you need to get it to make cookies, they always come out perfect all around, never underdone on top and burnt on the bottom which is the problem I had with other cookie sheets). These cookies turned out so well I had to bring 3 dozen of them to work in order to prevent me from eating them all!

Zucchini Bread

So Scott's off of work this week which completely throws our morning routine out of whack...... you would think with 2 people home in the morning more would get done around the house but I think the opposite is true and less gets done. I did unload the dishwasher this morning so at least 1 thing got done, lol, hopefully I'll get motivated to get some laundry done too.

So yesterday I tried a new recipe from allrecipes.com for some Zucchini Bread. I changed a few things with the recipe. 1st I used part Veg Oil and Part Olive Oil because I didn't have enough Veg Oil at home. 2nd I took out 1/2 cup of the sugar and replaced it with brown sugar (someone suggested that in the comments section). 3rd I used Pampered Chef's mini loaf pan instead of a large pan to cook it in. The recipe ended up making 5 mini loafs. I made 3 with nuts and 2 without nuts just in case someone didn't want the nuts and gave one of each to my friend Aimee who stopped by the house yesterday. Scott and I both tried a piece of it last night and I thought it tasted really good! Warm Zucchini Bread with a little butter (one of the only thing I use butter on), yumm!

Microwave Rocky Road Brownie Dessert

So much homework to do, so little time.........and it doesn't help that Scott has to do homework tonight too......We really should have worked on it a little this weekend (I read like .5 chapter yesterday - but should have done more). It doesn't help that both kids are going crazy today so it seems like neither of us can get much done tonight.

So yesterday we went over to the Moore's for the Dolphin game and I decided to try out one of the recipes from the fall/winter 2011 season's best recipe collection - microwave rocky road brown dessert. WOW! It was so easy to make and it tasted so good! We actually have a little left over and I'll probably be finishing it off shortly here. If you don't already have the Deep Covered Baker you need to get it! You can make whole chickens, a roast, potato soup, and the best thing you can make is this wonderful dessert! Buy it so you can make it, you won't be sorry!

Halloween Party

So Scott and I just spent the last 2 hours cleaning the house, and it's still gross. ugh.........we have less than a week now until my Pampered Chef party, so we need to get more done! But in the mean time we have to figure out what we want for dinner........hm..........

So yesterday we went to GG's and had a Halloween Party. We got to eat lots of food while hanging out with the family. The kids got to put on their costumes and look for pieces of a mummy & a witch outside, then they got a "prize" pack, then they got to make a cool pumpkin magnet. The kids had fun and it was fun to see all of their costumes. We had a bride, cowboy, elephant, bunny, bumble bee, zebra, Spider man, Robin, some pumpkins, and not exactly sure what Macy was suppose to be.........but it was fun!

Easy Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

So I started (once again) working on cleaning Connor's room. This time I'm going by a new approach. I'm taking absolutely everything out of his room and slowly going to put the toys back and where they belong. Hopefully this will weed out the "junk" that we can get rid of, without Connor realizing it of course, because to him all the stuff is "awesome!" Hopefully I'll get it done by Nov 6th because of my Pampered Chef party I'm having.

So last night for dinner we had Broccoli with Cheese Sauce, Pasta Roni, and a Turkey Breast. I have never made a Turkey Breast, but I found the recipe in "The Essential 4 Recipes" cookbook from Tastefully Simple. The only difference is, the recipe calls for a 3-4 pound bone-in turkey breast, well at Woodmans I couldn't find one with the bone, so I bought a boneless one instead. The recipe turned out great. It was quick (well to get it ready to go on the slow cooker) and easy. We immediately cut the meat in 1/2 and put it in the freezer so we can enjoy it again in a week or two. Totally recommend checking out this little cook book, this is the 2nd recipe we've tried from it so far.

Zucchini Cake

Just got home from the bowling ally, Scott will be bowling every other Saturday night for awhile while John recovers from his surgery that he will have this Monday. At least he'll get to do it for awhile. Last year he got to bowl every Tuesday night on a Men's League out in DeForest, but we just can't afford it this year with me going part-time.

This past Sunday I decided to make a Zucchini Cake to take over to Matt & Chrissy's Monday night for the first Dolphins game of the year. I followed the recipe exactly except that it did not take 80 minutes to cook, only 55 minutes using a Pampered Chef Stone. I do think I ended up drizzling the frosting to soon because it ended up absorbing into the cake. Oh well though, it didn't matter, because it was WONDERFUL! I will definitely be making this again soon, and actually have everything I need to do so, just need an occasion.

Sweet Potato Fries & Apples

So right now Scott & Connor are gone helping the Moore's bring home their new swing set, so it's just me & Savannah chillin at home. Next weekend I have my Tastefully Simple party, so I'm trying to get some of the cleaning done. I did manage to clean my entire bathroom, which desperately needed it!! If you are interested in ordering anything from my party, let me know and I'll e-mail you an invite to shop online!

So Friday we started our next foods of Baby Led Weaning. This time it was Sweet Potato Fries & Apples. The Sweet Potato Fries I made the night before, cooked them in the oven with a little bit of oil on top of them. The recipe called for Olive Oil, which I thought we had, but as I was making them Scott informed me he used the rest of it up when we had Asparagus the other night......so I used Veggie Oil instead. She seemed to like the fries, but the Apples were a little more difficult. I had just sliced them with my Pampered Chef Apple Slicer, but I think the pieces were to big....so I'll be making them smaller tonight, probably cut them in half.
