Back To Work I Go

So I'm on my 7th week of classes this semester, and things seem to be going pretty smoothly. I have 100% in both of the two classes. The only concern I have is the group project I have for my Intro to HR class. How can you require students to do a group project for an online class? That doesn't seem fair....so far I haven't even heard from one of my group members.....hopefully it'll work out okay.

So today Miss. Savannah is 12 weeks old, which also means I went back to work today. And of course I go back to work on a day where I don't get much sleep. Savannah didn't go to sleep until 11 p.m., I didn't fall asleep until 12, then she was up at 2:30, 5:30, and then my alarm went off at 6:30....Went and dropped her off at Scott's mom's house, feed her one last time, then it was off to work. I'll admit, I cried on the way....for some reason this time is a lot harder than with Connor. Maybe because Scott actually brought Connor, and I didn't. Maybe because I now know that it sucks to watch someone else raise your kids.....whatever the reason........I cried.....Thankfully work went pretty fast. When I got there I pretty much had to turn around and drive almost all the way back because I had to take my back to work drug screening. Then between lunch, and pumping twice, before I knew it, it was 5 p.m. and time to go home! Savannah didn't eat much today, probably 5 oz in 9.5 hours, but it was something! I was worried she wouldn't eat anything! Now every day should be better! She also didn't sleep much, but she did sleep a lot yesterday.....Since I've been home (2 hours) she's eaten twice and slept almost all the rest of the time. Guess she missed her mama! At least one of my kids still needs me, Connor is just to independent sometimes and it just seems like he doesn't need me.

Grow Baby Grow

So 8 more days until I go back to work............this count down is not fun at all!! UGH! At least we'll be having some more income to pay off the doctors bills & our CC.Got to look at the positive, right? I also can't wait for us to get our taxes back! $1000 going into retirement fund, $1000 going into the vacation fund (going to Disney next spring with Connor), and then the rest to pay off the CC!

So last night we had Savannah's 2 month check-up, and of course she is perfect! She weighs in at 10lbs12oz and is 24 inches long. At 13 days old she was 7.86% for weight, and now she is 32.06%. For height she was 40.98% and now she is 89.66%. So she's super tall & skinny, just like her daddy & brother. Just to compare Connor was 11lbs14oz and 22inches at his 2 month check up. So she's even taller & skinner than he was, how crazy?? We have enough problems with Connor's pants, so I have a feeling we'll have the same with Savannah.......bring on the adjustable waists & belts, lol.

Valentines Day

So we're still working on Savannah getting use to a bottle. She took the Nuk bottle once over the weekend, but that was it........desperate times call for desperate measures, so I will now be working on it before every feeding.....hopefully she starts taking it more often because I go back to work in 9 days......ugh.....only 9 days?? I want to cry just thinking about it. I'm not excited to leave my baby girl!

So today is Valentines Day. Anyone doing anything special?? We bought a bunch of good food that we will be enjoying tonight. 2lbs of Snow Crab Legs, a large Sirloin Steak to split and some coconut shrimp....yumm!! I'm even thinking I might send Scott to McDonalds to get Connor a happy meal, because it is a special day! So other than our meal, we decided not to spend the money on presents. We pretty much have everything we want/need, so why spend the money on presents just to give presents?? I did pick up a Nick Jr V-Day special DVD for Connor (well and Savannah, but she wont be enjoying that for a couple of more years). We will also be spending our V-Day at the Dr's because Savannah has her 2 month check up tonight. Connor was 11lbs14oz and 22inches at his 2 month. My prediction for Savannah is that she is longer but skinner than Connor was at this point.

Go Pack Go

So Savannah is 10 weeks old today, which means I go back to work in 2 weeks.......she's only taken a bottle once so far, so hopefully something changes in the next 2 weeks, otherwise I don't know what I'm going to do.......on the other hand, I've been pretty productive the last couple of days, knowing I'll be going back to work! Saturday we put our "new" stove in, painted the bathroom, fixed the toilet, put the new floor in the bathroom, and I've been cleaning like crazy. Anyone who knows me, knows my room is always a mess, well......it's pretty darn clean right now! I washed all my clothes, cleaned out the closet.....now just have to finish under the bed, the dressers & vacuum!! The next big project is the basement......ugh.........not looking forward to that!!

Well this past Sunday was the Super Bowl! We went over to Aunt Missy's to watch the game, and it was a blast. It seemed to just fly by! Of course we were all decked out in our Packer Gear, and it was great to see them win........even though I still hate Aaron Rodgers.....For the big game we decided to bust open the Salsa that me and Jessica made this past September, and can I say....AWESOME!! Not everyone would like it, it was pretty spicy, but I loved it. There's only 1/3 of the jar left, and I have to try really hard not to eat it all on Scott.......We'll have to make that again next fall!! Well anyways, as everyone should know The Packers Won!! Now Scott & I spend his gift card he got for nfl shop, I'll be getting a new Packer Shirt & Scott wants a hat. Here's a picture of us all in our Packer Gear (as you can hopefully see, I busted out my Super Bowl Championship Shirt from the last time they went.......can't believe I held on to that for that long!!)

2 months

Well I'm really glad that I decided to take off another couple of weeks of work because I get to miss the wonderful "blizzard" that is coming tonight. I'm so glad that I do not have to drive in that! Depending on how bad it is, I just might make Scott stay home from bowling tonight & work tomorrow, but we'll have to see if it's really as bad as they say it's going to be.

Well today is February 1st, which means Miss. Savannah is 2 months old! I can't believe it's been 2 months since she's been born. We don't have her 2 month check up until the 14th, but I know she's grown a lot, at least I sure think/hope so! Last night she took a bottle for the first time, woho! I only gave her 2 oz, just in case she wouldn't take it again, I didn't want to waste a bunch. She chugged that down & wanted more, so I had to feed her more, but YAY that's one less thing I have to worry about in the next 3 weeks before I go back to work....which I'm not really looking forward to, but I guess I can't stay home forever, we need the money!

Answered Prayers

So other than Scott, the whole family is sick. Connor had his stomach situation last week, which turned into a nose situation. Now Savannah has been coughing & sneezing, and I've been sneezing & have a sore throat.......love being sick......NOT! Oh well, what can you do? Yesterday we moved around Connor's furniture in his room, so he has a lot more floor space. Now we just have to go through his toys, clean the basement, clean our bedroom, get our toilet fixed, paint & put in the new floor in our bathroom, and put in our new kitchen sink & faucet...........does the list never end??

So today I finished reading Answered Prayers by Danielle Steel. It's a book about two life-long friends who are both in horribly lonely marriages. After Faith's children leave the nest, it leaves her lonely and with nothing to do, so she decides to go back to law school. Alex (her husband), in short words, is pissed! Coming home early from a field trip, Faith discovers that Alex is having an affair. She confronts him on this, he blows up, files for divorce, and blames everything on Faith going back to school. Thankfully her friend Brad is there for her all through the mess. Brad's 2 son's are living in Africa during this time, and a tragic accident happens to one of them. Being in a third world country, and without a lot of communication, Brad quickly flies out hoping he is still alive. Brad's wife Pam says she'll meet him there in a day or two, but never comes. this puts Brad over the edge, and by the time he gets back to her (7 weeks later), he says he's done, and he wants a divorce. Throughout this entire book Faith & Brad both have been there for each other to laugh, talk, cry, etc to. They both have feelings for each other, but try to deny them. With everything that has happened, they are finally free from their horrible marriages & able to be with each other at last. This is not my favorite Danielle Steel book, usually I can't put them down, but I did like the overall story and characters.

Scott's 27

So other than updating my blog today, the plan is to hopefully clean the house a little and do some homework. This all really depends on Miss. Savannah though because sometimes she really doesn't like to be put down. I could use my wrap around the house, but I like holding her :)

So yesterday was the big day. Scott turned 27!! I can't believe I was there for his 22nd birthday....it doesn't seem possible that I've known him that long, but it has been that long....just crazy! So for his birthday we didn't end up doing much. I ended up dying my hair & cleaning the kitchen & living room. Scott ran out and got us all Taco Bell for lunch. Then for dinner we met his family out at Chili's. Unfortunately about 15 minutes after getting there Connor decided he didn't feel good, so I had to take the kids home. Thankfully they still got me what I wanted for food, and brought it to me afterwards. After they were done eating they came over to the house and we had ice cream cake (Reese's from Dairy Queen), and opened presents. Scott got a weed whacker, tickets to WWE from his sister, that's coming in May (Connor & I will be going with him to that), the kids got him some new cologne, he got some TV on DVD sets, and I also got him some Gary Allan tickets for his concert at the Crystal Grand in April. So overall I think he made out pretty good!

Buddy's 2

So today Connor is over at grandma & grandpa's for the day, so it's just Savannah & me at home. She slept okay last night....not the greatest, but definitely better than the night before. She went to bed at 9:30, and we woke up at 1:30 and then at 5 when Scott was leaving for work (he's such a great daddy, he changed her diaper before he left!)

Well Sunday was officially Buddy's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he's 2 already, but that also means that Connor will be 4 in a couple of months.....crazy!!! So for his second birthday we all went to the Children's Museum in Madison, which I've never been to. It was pretty fun, Connor was a little disappointed there was no dinosaurs, but overall I think it was a hit with the kids. Connor really liked the kitchen area where they could "make" pies & pizza's. After that we all went to Ella's Deli for lunch. I haven't been to Ella's Deli since the night that Scott met, so it was pretty coon. I got a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was super yummy, Scott got some weird, humongous salad, and Connor got grilled cheese & fries.

Birthdays x 5

So this was a nice long weekend for us. Scott had off work Monday & Tuesday. It would have been nice to get some mroe stuff done around the house (like clean Connor's room), but it just didn't happen....oh well! I guess, hopefully; it'll get done some other time.

So this past Saturday we had a birthday party to go to out at Cat & Don's house. We were celebrating 5 people's birthdays!! Buddy was turning 2, Addison 3, Jillian 3, Olivia 5, and Macy 10. It was pretty fun, and the food was good. The only bad part of the party was when the kids started opening presents. Connor was so upset because he was pretty much one of the only kids left out. Thankfully this did not last long and Scott & Grandpa were able to get him distracted with some toys.

7 Weeks Later

So this weekend is Buddy's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he's going to be 2!! It seems like just yesterday he was born.............time goes by way to fast!!! So tomorrow is the big birthday party. They're actually combining Buddy, Addison, Jillian, Olivia & Macy's birthdays, and just having one big party. We would never be able to do this for our kids because both of our sides of the family are very large, and I couldn't expect someone else to be able to throw a party for a bunch of people they aren't related to. That is why we just throw one huge one for Connor's. I'm not sure yet exactly what we'll do for Savannah's....since her b-day is in winter, we really can't have one huge party, b/c we can't fit everyone in our house.....we might just have to do Scott's family during Round Robin, and then my family the weekend before.......

So anyways, we're over 7 weeks into the life with 2 children. It's crazy!! What can I say?? Savannah definitely does not sleep as well as Connor use to at this age. By now Connor was sleeping 6-7 hours at a time....the most Savannah has done is 5 hours, but only once or twice, it's usually 3-4 at night......ugh....I'm a little tired. But this is one reason I've decided not to go back to work next Wednesday like originally planned. I've decided to use the full 12 weeks of FMLA, and not go back to work until February 23rd. I'm excited about spending more time at home with the kids, and hopefully I'll get some more things accomplished in the next 4.5 weeks, but I'm not counting on it....... Poor Connor, I wish it was warm out, because then we could go down to the park or something, but instead we stay inside playing with toys and watching movies all day.....today we watched Open Season 2 like 3 times........thankfully he doesn't sit there and just watch it the entire time, he gets up and go plays for awhile.......so I've probably seen it more than him, even though I'm on the computer a lot. Doing homework, on facebook, BBC, etc. Well that's enough rambling for one day, here's Savannah's picture at 7 weeks (1/19)
