Mother's Day Pictures

In a couple of days we're re-doing the floors in our living room & kitchen - can't wait! But you know what has to happen first? Cleaning..........ugh! Neither Scott or I like cleaning, so we pretty much do what is necessary to not go crazy, so tonight we spend about an hour cleaning. We still have a LOT more to go but its already looking less cluttered in here (just stay out of Connor's room, lol).

So for Mother's Day every year for Scott's mom (and the rest of the women in his family) - The Moore's and us go to Portrait Innovations and get our pictures taken. Chrissy & I have fun going to Kohl's to get the kids matching clothes (and us matching shirts this year) and getting everything all ready. It was a lot more difficult this year with the girls being older and not wanting to sit still but we still got some super cute pictures done. Hopefully though next year will be a little less difficult/stressful!

Black Friday

Well I didn't get nearly as much accomplished today as I wanted to. I still have time to get some stuff done but I really don't have the motivation to do it. Just sitting here playing on the computer while Scott plays with the kids in the kitchen with Play Doh. Really have to do some homework and finish cleaning my room since I took everything out of my closet and now it's all over my bed.

So with Thanksgiving comes Black Friday, the day of shopping. I've only been participating in Black Friday for the last couple of years, but it's been a lot of fun. Chrissy picked me up at 9:30 pm to head to Walmart. We went there last year so we weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was this year. There was no were to park and we had to park a few blocks away. We looked ridiculous running to the store trying to get there at 10 p.m. so we didn't miss any of the sales. We got in and out fairly quickly and then headed to Kohl's. We got there at 11:15 but they weren't opened until midnight so we sat in her vehicle for awhile so we didn't have to stand out in the cold. Again, we were in and out fairly quickly , stopped by Target but didn't buy anything, and then was home a little after 1 a.m. Got about 2 hours of sleep then headed out again, this time with Miss. Savannah. We picked up Pat and went to the mall for awhile. Picked up some super cute PJ's for Connor from Gymboree for pretty cheap and some other stuff as well. Afterwards we went and picked up Granny, went to breakfast, then to Shopko & Target. I finished almost all of my Christmas shopping, I do have a few things to pick up still but am about 93% done I would say, and they are all wrapped as well! Bring on the Christmas Season!

Bye Bye Bottle

So today was a good day. Got to spend time with family & friends, couldn't ask for much better. Went on a Kohl's run. Got a pair of shorts, capris & a tank top for myself, got Connor 2 t-shirts and a pair of shorts, got Scott a t-shirt & a pair of shorts and something for him for Christmas, all for under $34! Everything was 80% plus I used my 30% coupon! Now that's the way to shop! Gotta love Kohl's!!

So yesterday Savannah had her last bottle, say bye to the bottle! Not that it's really going to be an issue for her, she only has a bottle Monday-Friday, and only one of them. She'll now be using her super cute sippy cup that we got her. I actually have not take any pictures of Savannah with a bottle since she's been born, but that's probably because I've never given her a bottle. So I had to make sure to tell Scott to take a picture or two of her with it, so here it is. The only picture I have of Savannah drinking a bottle, and it's her last one.

Eggs & Potatos

Ran to Kohl's tonight because I noticed online they had a TON of clearance, so I wanted to see if the same was true in the store, and yup! It was! I spent $74.01 and saved $395.85. If there was an extreme couponing for clothes, that'd be what I do, lol, now if I could only do the same with groceries we'd save so much money.......but I'm not sure if it would work for us or not because we eat pretty cheaply as it is. Anyways, can't wait for tomorrow, taking Connor to Noah's Ark & I get to use my new waterproof digital camera!!

Since we haven't gone to the grocery store in over a week, food in the house is getting pretty scarce so Wednesday night we ate up the last of the eggs & potatoes, and we gave Savannah some. She seemed to enjoy it a lot, she definitely seems to be eating a lot more food recently, she ate probably 1/4 of an egg cut up and a few pieces of a potato, which is a lot for her. She's definitely getting the hang of this Baby Led Weaning Stuff, and I'm so glad we went this route with her. No fighting to get her to eat, most of her calories are coming from breast milk, which is now recommended for the first year to be the majority of the calories, so whatever she actually eats is just in addition to not in replacement of breast milk. If we have another baby after this, we will definitely be going this route again!
