Birthday Pictures

Lots to do this morning! Dropped Connor off at school, then got gas in the car (Scott says I need to get it when it hits 1/4 tank in the winter instead of waiting until the light goes on like I normally do..... so I'm going to try!), went to Target and got some groceries for the week (really can't wait until the Woodman's in Sun Prairie opens up, lots cheaper there!), then got dinner ready for tonight (whole chicken in the crock pot with some potatoes), finished getting Savannah's Thank You's done so I can mail them, now I have just a little time before I go to the post office (gotta mail out my 1st Etsy order!) and get Connor from school.

So Friday Scott & Connor went and picked up Savannah's birthday pictures from JcPenney. I was overall very happy with the pictures this time around, it's hard when they're little because they don't understand they need to stay in one place and smile, but oh well. We got some really good ones. The 1st outfit was from JcPenney and I custom ordered the headband from Dolly Priss (LOVE!! Please Go Check Out Her Great Stuff) The 2nd outfit I ordered off of e-bay and it had a matching headband so I didn't have to fin.d one to match (which is sometimes pretty difficult). Is it sad I already know one of the outfits she will be wearing for her pictures next year? lol! Well, enjoy 1 of the pictures! Picture Time

So it's Sunday night....I think it might be the worst night of the week........the weekend comes to a close and you know you have to get up early the next day to go to work.......this week will be my super busy week at work, so at least it'll go by fast, and on top of that we have Connor's Swimming Lessons on Tuesday & Thursday, dinner over at Jim & Pat's on Wednesday, so before you know it the weekend will be here again!

Tomorrow Savannah will be 8 months old. To break up the year we decided to do 8 month pictures (Easter was at 4 months, so I didn't want to go all the way to her 1st birthday before getting them done again). We usually go to JcPenney's to get pictures taken, but I really couldn't narrow it down to 2 outfits (their limit), so we decided to go to Portrait Innovations instead. We've been there before (Mother's Day pictures), so we kind of knew what to expect. Unfortunately we got the new girl who really didn't know what she was doing, so she took longer than normal, and some of the stuff she wanted to do was just DUMB, I wont go into a lot of details, but while looking through all the pictures at the end I was definitely disappointed. Don't get me wrong there were some good pictures to choose from and we did walk away with spending quit a bunch of money, I just feel for the money we spent they could have been better. We will probably go back there for Christmas pictures, I just hope we don't get a new person!

Mothers Day

So another weekend is almost to a close.....sad....weekends just go by way to fast....at least I get Tuesday off of work! Tuesday is Scott & my anniversary, and we're going to go to Scream 4 and then take the kids to Outback for dinner (thanks to Scott's safety award from work, we get $25 off of our meal!).

So today was Mother's Day. Kind of a bitter sweet day......we started off the morning going to Scott's parents house and making breakfast. We got Pat, Betty, GG & Granny pictures of the "group"(which we had taken at Portrait Innovations---they do an awesome job!), then I got Chrissy a manicure set and gave her a candle. I got a new coffee mug & some dish clothes (which we needed badly), and some new bath & body works antibacterial spray stuff, which will definitely be going in the purse! Afterwards we went home, took a little nap and then headed out to Aunt Missy's for dinner. Brats on the grill for dinner, yumm. We also bought an ice cream cake for dessert from DQ, super yum! We made two trips over to see the cows because Connor is fascinated by them and likes to throw grass at them to eat. So overall it was a good Mother's Day for me. Scott had Savannah make a hand in print picture frame for me (Connor did one for his first Mother's Day too), I got a movie from Connor, and I know Scott bought me a babyhawk mai ti wrap to carry Savannah around in, but it hasn't arrived yet. I should get it in the next week or so, can't wait to use it!!

Easter Pictures

So last weekend we didn’t end up going to visit and meet Miss. Madison. I woke up Saturday morning at 1:30 and was super sick all day……..yuck!! We’re going to try again tomorrow, lets hope I don’t wake up sick again!!

So yesterday we went to JcPenny’s after work & dinner to get our Easter Pictures taken. We started with Connor, and then did Savannah, then both of them, then family and then Savannah again. Connor did very well for his pictures, but about ½ way threw he decided he wanted to be a stinker and started to do his fake smiles/cheesy faces!! Savannah did great for her first pictures too, but by the time we wanted to do the naked baby bunny pictures she was done and didn’t want to smile anymore….oh well I think we got a few good ones.
