Betty's Birthday

So it’s finally Friday, YAY! So excited!! My niece Madison Monroe was born this week, and I finally get to meet her tomorrow after Aunt Suzie’s Stampin’ Up Party! I’ll post pics & all the details I about her tomorrow night/Sunday morning!

So Wednesday was Betty’s (family friend of Scott’s) birthday, and since every Thursday we go over to Scott’s parents for dinner anyways, we celebrated it on Thursday. We had some beef & veggie thing over noodles (pretty good, a little to many veggies for me, but I’m not much of a veggie person anyways) then Betty opened her presents. We got her a Columbia Green Fleece & a new travel mug. It seems like she liked them, so I hope so. We then had cake or cupcakes, I picked the cupcake b/c I do not like German Chocolate Cake (well it’s not that I don’t like the cake, I really just don’t like the type of frosting that is used for those)

Bouncy Town USA

So tonight is the last night that Amanda & her family will be here....it's kind of sad...I wish they could say longer, but even if they did i would still be saying the same thing when it's time for them to go....the good times just go by to fast!!! Tonight we're going to go out to dinner...haven't decided where yet, but it should be yummy!

Today we decided to take the kids to Bouncy
Town USA. The kids had a lot of fun! (so much fun that Connor is now past out in our room) I don't think we will ever go back to this particular Bouncy place. We were there 2 weeks ago, and adults were allowed to go in and play with the kids & help them out....well....this time I totally got yelled at. JERKS! My kid is 3.5....some of the things he needs help with!! Thankfully there is another one in town that we will be going to from now on!! Screw you Bouncy Town USA!

Savannah's Baptism

So after getting our butts in gear, we went out and had some fun, and now we are back home waiting for Jessica & Justin to come over and we're going to play "You Don't Know Jack". I've never played the game before, but I've heard it's a lot of fun....so we shall see.

So yesterday was Savannah's Baptism. Overall it went pretty well I think. There where a couple of issues afterwards that I got pretty pissed about, but I wont go into any details about it. Savannah's Baptism was done at St. Dennis Church, where Scott & I got married, and Connor was baptised. Savannah's godparents are Amanda (my bff), Jackie (Scott's cousin), Matt (my cousin) and Gary (a friend of Scott's family). Afterwards we went to John & Carol's house and had some food & cake.

Geology Museum

So we're still sitting here figuring out what we're going to do today, so I'm going to try and get some more posts done. Amanda is getting ready for the day, the kids are watching 'UP' (well except for Savannah....she is currently sleeping on my bed), and Scott & Mike are watching dumb/funny clips on his computer. I should probably start getting dressed for the day....so maybe I'll do that after I finish this post.

So yesterday morning we all loaded up in Scott's parents minivan and went to the Geology Museum. I had never been there before, but for being free it was pretty neat. Connor kept running in between the Black Light room and the Dinosaurs. Katie also lives right next door, so her & Lily walked down and hung out with us for a little bit. There isn't a ton to look at, but it kept us busy for about 45 minutes, and the kids seem to really like it.

Painting Pottery

So Amanda & her family got here Thursday night, and we've been having a blast ever since. I love when I get to spend time with her, it's always a blast!! We're still in the process of figuring out what we are going to do today....but whatever it is, I'm sure we'll have fun!!

So Friday morning Amanda, Jarrod, Connor & I went to Fire it Up Pottery on Monona Drive. It was a lot of fun, and I think the kids had fun to. Connor made a plate and we put his hand print on it. Jarrod make a Mickey Mouse Bowl for popcorn. I'll end up having to mail Jarrod's to him because it probably wont be ready until Wednesday, and they leave Monday, but that's fine. Both of the items turned out really cute, and I can't wait to pick 'em up and see how great they look completely finished! I'm thinking that I might have Connor make something for Grandma for Christmas (yes already thinking that far in advance).

Thumb Sucker

So in preparation for Amanda and her family coming, I gotta clean the house! I cleaned some old stuff out of the fridge tonight, and I dusted the living room......so it was a start. I probably would have gotten more done, but Scott was at bowling, so it was me & the 2 kids. Tomorrow night I'm going to the grocery store to stock up on food (we are SO LOW it's scary), order Savannah's cake for Saturday, and also we have Connor's Gymnastics class.....then Thursday the in-laws are coming over, I'm making a pulled beef BBQ sandwiches for dinner (crock pot!), and they are going to help clean a little. Hopefully I can get a good chunk of it done beforehand, because it's kind of embarrassing having people help clean my house...........

So I totally busted Savannah sucking her thumb. Probably because I refuse to give her a pacifier (you can call me a horrible parent if you want....but I have a horror story from when Connor was this little, and plus it was a pain in the a$$ to get rid of it....we finally took it away from him at 18 months.......it was a rough week or so, but we did it cold turkey....and anyways, it's my choice not to give her one, not yours!) I'm still not sure if she is going to be a true thumb sucker like I was (don't even ask how long I did it for....I wont admit it), or if it is just a phase. But I have to say it sure is pretty cute!

Goodbye 0-3, Hello 3-6

So as you can tell by the multiple posts tonight....I'm a little behind. Things have been crazy with the kids being sick, our new bedtime routine, and just trying to get everything ready for this weekend for Savannah's Baptism. 2 more nights and Amanda will be here!! I'm so excited!!

So last Wednesday, at 14 weeks, I packed up some more of Savannah's baby clothes. It's so sad to realize that she's getting to big for certain clothes already. So I packed up all of her 0-3 month clothes and we busted into the 3-6 month clothes. The nice thing about getting into a new size is that we get to put on new clothes!! And she sure has some cute ones that she will be wearing in the next couple of weeks!!

Chillin at the Table

So Connor started off with a cold, then it passed onto Savannah. Poor baby girl. Started off as a runny nose, and now add a cough to the mix....been about a week for the nose and about 4 days for the cough. At least she's in a better mood than she was on Sunday.......she was so miserable then!! Now she's just laying on the couch, watching me play on the computer as she sucks her thumb!!

So last week we decided Savannah could hold her head enough to sit with us at the table. I think she had fun watching all of us eat! Couple of more months before she gets anything good to eat, but the time will fly!
If you didn't already know, we are not giving her any baby cereal or purees. We are following the "Baby Led Weaning" approaching to introducing food. If you are not familiar with it at all, please do not judge. I did my research, did you? You don't judge me, and I wont judge you for giving your baby purees....we did with Connor, but I'm glad we found this method this time around. Hopefully it works out as good as it sounds!! (if you are interested in a book, I found one on amazon for about $10)

Jorden & Nick's Baby Shower

So this weekend has been pretty busy, which make it just fly by. I hope this next week flies by because next weekend we (so far) don't have much going on and it should be pretty lazy!! Let's just hope it stays that way! Maybe we can get started on the basement because it is embarrassing how horrible it looks.....thankfully most people do not enter our house by the basement door!

So today the family drove up to Aunt Mary's outside of Montello for a baby shower for Jorden. The shower was suppose to have happened a couple of times already, but it kept getting canceled. Thankfully this time it was not canceled and I got to see my bro and "his women" (lol...sorry, I can totally see Nick saying it that way). It was nice with several people who came. Aunt Missy, Uncle Steve, Katie & Lily also made the long drive up! Played a few fun games, ate some good fit. It also seemed like they got a lot of nice stuff, so hopefully they are ready to go. Miss. Madison can make her arrival any day now! Then we get to drive up to Reedsburg to see her!

Ella & Arizona's Baptisim

So this weekend has gone by way to fast......of course, it always does, doesn't it?? I am just not looking forward to a full week of work....poor Miss. Savannah! She's going to miss her mama (hopefully). But I guess there isn't much I can do about it....gotta be able to pay the mortgage every month.

So yesterday was Arizona & Ella's Baptism, and I am one of Ella's godparents (along with Brodie)! It was a nice little ceremony held at St. Dennis. Afterwards they had a part out at Bouncy Town USA in Windsor. that place is a lot of fun for kids & adults! They also had a party room upstairs where we got to eat some food & have cake. Overall I think the day went pretty good for them! I forgot my camera's memory card for the ceremony, so I don't have any pictures of Ella & I together, but I did run home and get it for the party. So I'll post a picture of Ella opening one of her presents from us.

3 Months Already

So I went back to work last Wednesday, and I've already missed 2 days........not because Savannah isn't eating at Grandmas (she is....not much, but it's a start I guess.......) b/c I have been horribly sick. Last Thursday the room was spinning, and I didn't feel comfortable driving anywhere. Then yesterday afternoon I felt like I got hit by a bus. Cold then Hot, temp of about 102 and lots of other nasty symptoms. Went to Urgent Care last night, got some antibiotics....hope they start working soon......not sure if I'll make it to work tomorrow or not....

So 3 months ago Miss. Savannah was born. Where does the time go?? Why does it have to go so fast?? She already has such a little personality on her. For the most part she's easy going, loves to smile & talk to you....but she also has a little whinny side, which is pretty cute in its own way. She is definitely a mama's girl....and I hope it stays that way!! So Savannah has been to Grandma's 4 days and she still hates her bottle..........she only eats about 1 oz at a time, about every 1-1.5 hours...........it's like she knows I'll be back soon, so she's holding off. She would only have to eat twice at Grandma's if she ate 4-5 oz at a time, but no..........she's gotta be stubborn and eats like 8-9 "snacks". Hopefully that will get better!!
